Really good movie which leaves you thinking that the so-called greatest country in the world is not so great. I recommend it to everyone in all ages! It's absurd making such huge profit while so many people suffer.

While I'm sure there was some bias in here I think it was an excellent movie and was particularly eye opening about other countries and their health care.

I'm about to save you two hours of run-time, you ready?

The reason the U.S. has more expensive healthcare and insurance is because we choose to have the strongest military on the planet instead of a cheaper alternative.

There you go, just saved you two hours. If you still want to go live in France or Canada for ""better"" healthcare, have fun with terrorist attacks and a much smaller military.

@filmtoaster The vast majority of terrorist attacks on the United States, even during the peak of Islamic fundamentalist attacks on many Western countries, are domestic. Right-wing and/or Christian Nationalist fundamentalism is, by far, the biggest threat. You wrote this comment in 2020, and in between now and then these movements have literally attempted a coup on the United States since then.

The military has no connection to this. The various law enforcement and intelligence agencies have failed their duty to protect the US from these terrorists since before the US existed. In fact, many of them have participated, facilitated, turned a blind eye, or were so incompetent in their response that the event/people involved became martyrs that strengthened the cause. This is despite these agencies being paid an unbelievable amount of money, not to mention there being practically no oversight or accountability.

The military is hardly involved in terrorism in the US, and those that are have been unable to stop it. Healthcare has nothing to do with this. So many other countries do it so much better with a fraction of the cost. In fact, if you were to transform the US system into a typical universal public system, it would be so much more efficient and therefore cost a fraction of what it does now in public money, that you'd have waaaay more money to pump into the equally corrupt military system.

If that's what you want to do with it, then go right ahead, at least Americans won't be dying due to the decisions of the very people who choose to not do anything about the actual terrorism occurring multiples times a year.
