It's got Alex Lawther in it. What more reason do you need to watch it? He is a brilliant actor anyway but my respect for him has shot through the roof now that I've seen him performing pure comedy. He's extremely talented. The whole film is a light-hearted love story that is easy to watch. The acting is brilliant. The story isn't anything new but it's still very well written. Aside from "Goodbye Christopher Robin", I think this is my favourite Alex Lawther film that I've seen so far. I had to take off one point though coz the ending wasn't particularly happy - I was hoping he'd come and marry me, but it just didn't happen. So Alex, if you're reading this somewhere, I am still waiting....

Enjoyable movie that well deserves your attention. Alex Lawther once again sets himself out as an actor of real talent, this time with a rich comedic vein. Non-conventional too, despite plotting that almost comes from Roxanne and Cyranno De Bergerac.

Old Boys was mostly entertaining for me. The humor in the realistic dialogue, and the charm of the "moving" pictures the lead character supposedly drew were a fun element of the otherwise cliched script.
